Comprehensive 3D Echocardiography Workshop

1. Overview

This comprehensive workshop is designed for trained and in-training cardiac anesthesiologists, echocardiographers, cardiologists, and interventionalists who want to strengthen their knowledge of three-dimensional echocardiography.

In this interactive course, participants receive comprehensive education on the principles, acquisition, and interpretation of 3D echocardiographic imaging for cardiac procedures. The workshop also includes a practical overview of echocardiography system knobology and the differences in nomenclature across various imaging platforms.

The workshop aims to enhance skills in the physics of three-dimensional imaging, the steps required to acquire high-quality 3D datasets, image optimization, and multiplanar reformatting. Clinical applications include mitral, tricuspid, and aortic valve assessment, left and right ventricular volumetric evaluation, and measurement of cardiac structures relevant to different procedures.

Interactive educational sessions are supplemented by live workshop instruction and demonstrations. The course includes expert faculty lectures, case presentations, practical demonstrations, and panel discussions delivered in a virtual live-streamed setting.

The faculty explained complex 3D imaging concepts in a way that was easy to understand, and the live demonstrations were excellent. The sessions on mitral TEER, tricuspid interventions, and multiplanar reconstruction were particularly valuable. Highly recommended for anyone involved in structural heart disease.
